Experience

• 2021: Master's thesis on the Analysis of Thai Political Protest Hashtags on Twitter

  Collected over 80M tweets with Thai protest hashtags through Twitter API and analyzed them using PySpark. The study identifies the key narrative of the tweets and the characteristics of most retweeted tweets.

• 2019-2021: Teaching Assistant for CSE 333: Systems Programming and CSE 461: Computer Networks

  • As a head TA in Spring 2021, and Autumn 2021, coordinate TAs and plan class logistics to ensure the course runs smoothly
  • Led a weekly quiz section, held office hours, and graded assignments and exams
  • Developed Python autograding scripts which grades C and C++ assignments for hundreds of students

• 2020: Bento Backup Utility

Implemented a file backup utility in Rust for Bento-fs, a file system with provenance tracking. The backup utility efficiently backs up modified files that appear in the provenance log, eliminating the need to scan the whole file system.

• 2020: Software Engineering Internship at Microsoft

  Lead developer on implementing a new API endpoint on Azure Resource Manager (ARM) using C#. ARM is a deployment and management service that serves an an entry point for Azure resources, receiving over a billion requests per day

• 2019: Software Engineering Internship at Google

  Enhanced Google's internal dashboard for the data pipeline that computes Google’s data center resource utilization. A visualization of job statuses and dependencies that was added aided the team in debugging and maintaining the pipeline. Used Java and Javascript with Closure Compiler.

• 2018 - 2019: Research Assistant at ICTD Lab

  Worked as a research assistant on Community LTE Networks (CoLTE) with Spencer Sevilla and Kurtis Heimerl. Developed web applications including user billing portal and offline emergency maps, analyzed data usage of the network, and wrote Ansible and Bash scripts to automate installation process.
